Abstract

The problem in this study is the low economic learning outcomes of students, students still have difficulty in understanding the material provided and the learning model used by teachers in teaching and learning activities is less varied. So that a learning model is needed that can overcome these problems, one of which uses the Group Investigation (GI) type cooperative learning model. This study aims to determine the application of the Group Investigation (GI) type cooperative learning model to improve the economic learning outcomes of students in class XI IPS 3 SMA Negeri 14 Bandar Lampung in the 2022/2023 academic year. This research uses the Classroom Action Research (PTK) method. The subjects in this study were students of class XI IPS 3 which amounted to 31 students. Based on the results of the study of 31 students of class XI IPS 3 SMAN 14 Bandar Lampung. In cycle 1, the highest score was 85 and the lowest score was 70 with an average score of 77%, while in cycle 2, the highest score was 90 and the lowest score was 75 with an average score of 83%. Based on the research data in the form of data from the formative test results of cycle 1 and cycle 2 as well as observation data on student learning activities in cycle 1 and cycle 2, it can be concluded that the application of the Group Investigation (GI) type cooperative learning model can improve the economic learning outcomes of students in class XI IPS 1 SMAN 14 Bandar Lampung in the 2022/2023 academic year.
