Abstract

The problem in this study is the low economic learning outcomes of students, the low motivation of students to learn economics and the packaging of learning that is less interesting and less challenging in class XI IPS 1 SMA Negeri 14 Bandar Lampung. So that a learning model is needed that can overcome these problems, one of which uses the Think Pair Share (TPS) learning model. This study aims to determine the application of the Think Pair Share (TPS) learning model to improve the economic learning outcomes of students in class XI IPS 1 even semester of SMA Negeri 14 Bandar Lampung 2022/2023. This research uses the Classroom Action Research (PTK) method. The subjects in this study were students of class XI IPS 1 which amounted to 34 students. The data analyzed were the results of observations of teacher and student activities, interview results, and student evaluation results. From this study obtained data analysis of students' activities and students' learning outcomes. Based on the research results in cycle 1, the highest score was 85 and the lowest score was 65 with an average score of 74, while in cycle 2 the highest score was 90 and the lowest score was 75 with an average score of 85. Based on the research data in the form of data from the formative test results of cycle 1 and cycle 2 as well as observation data on student learning activities of cycle 1 and cycle 2, it can be concluded that the application of the Think Pair Share learning model can improve the economic learning outcomes of students in class XI IPS 1 SMAN 14 Bandar Lampung in the 2022/2023 academic year.
