PENGARUH METODE PEMBELAJARAN DISCOVERY LEARNING TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR EKONOMI PESERTA DIDIK KELAS XI IPS SEMESTER GENAP SMA NEGERI 8 BANDAR LAMPUNG

Abstract

The problems in this study are 1) learning outcomes are not optimal, 2) students' understanding of the material is still low, 3) some students do not actively participate during the learning process and 4) economic learning has not varied.  This study aims to determine the effect of the discovery learning method on the economic learning outcomes of students in class XI IPS even semester at SMA Negeri 8 Bandar Lampung in the 2022/2023 academic year. This research is using experimental method. The population in this study were all students in class XI IPS, totaling 126 students, the sample consisted of class XI IPS 1 as an experimental class using the discovery learning method totaling 29 people and XI IPS 3 as a control class using conventional learning methods totaling 32 person. Hypothesis testing uses the t-test statistical formula. After testing the hypothesis, it is obtained from calculating the data on economic learning outcomes using statistical formulas, then we get t = 4.23 and t_tab = 2.00 at a significant level of 5%. So it can be concluded that there is an influence of the discovery learning method on the economic learning outcomes of students in class XI IPS even semester at SMA Negeri 8 Bandar Lampung in the 2022/2023 academic year.
