Abstract

The problems in this study 1) the learning outcomes of students are not complete, 2) the interaction between teachers and students is not optimal, 3) the readiness of students in participating in learning is not optimal and 4) discussion activities only rely on the smart ones. So that a learning method is needed that can overcome this problem, one of which is using the reciprocal teaching learning method. This study aims to determine the effect of the reciprocal teaching learning method on the economics learning outcomes of students in class XI IPS even semester at SMA Negeri 14 Bandar Lampung. This research is using experimental method. The population in this study were all students in class XI IPS, totaling 132 students. The sample consisted of class XI IPS 1 as an experimental class using the reciprocal teaching learning method totaling 33 people and XI IPS 2 as a control class using conventional learning models totaling 33 person. Hypothesis testing uses the t-test statistical formula. After testing the hypothesis, it is obtained from calculating the data on economic learning outcomes using statistical formulas, then we get t = 2.88 and ttab = 2.00 at a significant level of 5%. So it can be concluded that there is an effect of the reciprocal teaching learning method on the economics learning outcomes of students in class XI IPS even semester at SMA Negeri 14 Bandar Lampung in the 2022/2023 academic year.
