Abstract

This research was motivated by the low learning interest of students in History subjects, particularly in the topic of the lifestyle and cultural products of prehistoric Indonesia. The topic is often considered abstract and difficult to understand because it is mostly delivered through lectures and textbook-based learning. Therefore, there is a need for innovative and engaging learning media that can help students grasp concepts more concretely. The purpose of this research is to develop scrapbook learning media for the topic of the lifestyle and cultural products of prehistoric Indonesia and to determine its feasibility and user responses. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model, which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research subjects consisted of material experts, media experts, history teachers, and Grade X students at a senior high school. Data collection instruments included validation questionnaires and response questionnaires, which were analyzed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative methods. The results of the study show that the scrapbook learning media received a “very feasible” rating from material experts with a score of 90%, and a “very feasible” rating from media experts with a score of 92%. The history teacher’s response was categorized as “very good” with a score of 95%, while students’ responses were also categorized as “very good” with a score of 93%. These findings indicate that the scrapbook is not only visually appealing but also effective in helping students understand historical concepts, increasing learning motivation, and creating a more interactive learning atmosphere. Thus, the scrapbook learning media can serve as an innovative alternative in history education, especially for the topic of the lifestyle and cultural products of prehistoric Indonesia, and is therefore suitable for broader implementation in classroom learning activities.
