PERAN GURU BK DALAM MENGATASI BULLYING VERBAL DI KELAS VIII SMP NEGERI 1 KATIBUNG LAMPUNG SELATAN

The world of education should be a place where someone can gain knowledge to improve their abilities as a human and as a developing creature, but in the world of education itself there are very many cases of bullying that occur, especially verbal bullying. The lack of understanding of students and the community in the school environment regarding bullying means that bullying is still widespread, therefore there needs to be a role for guidance and counseling teachers in dealing with bullying that occurs. For this reason, there is a need for guidance and counseling services for students as perpetrators and victims or the entire school community. This research aims to determine the role of guidance and counseling teachers at SMP Negeri 1 Katibung Lsampung Selatan and what efforts are being made. The subjects of this research were 1 guidance counselor, 3 students who were bullies, and 1 homeroom teacher for class VIII. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The data collection technique used is observation, interview documentation. The results of this research are that there is verbal bullying that is still occurring and in this case the guidance and counseling teachers play quite an active role in overcoming this bullying behavior. The bullying at SMP Negeri 1 Katibung is relatively mild because the background to this bullying is due to environmental influences, childhood habits and child psychology.
