PENERAPAN TEKNIK PERMAINAN MENYUSUN KATA UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN MEMBACA PESERTA DIDIK KELAS 1 SDN 12 TELUK PANDAN PESAWARAN TAHUN PELAJARAN 2022/2023

This research aims to determine the application of word composing game techniques in improving the reading skills of Class 1 students at SDN 12 Teluk Pandan Pesawaran for the 2022/2023 academic year. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) which is carried out through two cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages, namely planning, action, observation and reflection. The research subjects were class I students at SDN 12 Teluk Pandan Pesawaran, with a total of 25 students. This data collection technique was carried out by observation, tests, questionnaires, interviews and documentation. Analysis of the data used in this study, namely researchers using qualitative and quantitative data. Qualitative data were obtained from student observation sheets and questionnaires. While quantitative data obtained from the test results of students. The results of this research show that the application of the word composing game technique can improve the reading skills of Class 1 students at SDN 12 Teluk Pandan Pesawaran. This can be proven at the pre-cycle stage before observing students' reading skills. Student data during the pre-cycle stage shows that the percentage of student learning completeness was obtained on average at 39.6% in the low or very poor category. Then, in the learning implementation of cycle I, there was an increase in students' reading skills, achieving an average student learning completeness of 53.6% in the poor category. In cycle II, student learning outcomes increased by obtaining an average learning completeness of 79.6% in the good category.
