Abstract

The main problem in this study is the learning model which tends to make students bored which affects low student learning outcomes. As for one way to increase the acquisition of student learning outcomes is by using the Problem Based Learning learning model. The problem-based learning model is an innovative learning model that can provide active learning conditions. This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning learning model on the learning outcomes of second grade students at SD Kartika II-5 Persit Bandar Lampung. The research design used was True Experimental Design, in the True Experimental Design experiment from the control experimental group, subjects were randomly selected for the experimental class and the control class. The population in this study were all 2nd graders of SD Kartika II-5 Persit Bandar Lampung, the sample consisted of class 2A as an experimental class totaling 25 students, and 2B as a control class totaling 22 students. Followed by hypothesis testing with t-test. Based on the results of the analysis and discussion of the research data, the results of the hypothesis test were obtained with t_hit 6.10 > f_tab 1.68 so that Ho was rejected, meaning Ha was accepted, so it can be concluded that there was an effect of the Problem Based Learning learning model on Citizenship Education learning outcomes for second grade students at Kartika Elementary School II-5 Persit Bandar Lampung.
