Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of animated video learning media in increasing the understanding of fifth grade students at SDS SWADHIPA Natar Lampung Selatan. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) which is carried out through two cycles. Each cycle consists of four main activities, namely planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. The research subjects were fifth grade students at SDS SWADHIPA Natar Lampung Selatan, with a total of 22 students. This data collection technique is done by observation, testing and documentation. Analysis of cognitive learning outcomes using descriptive analysis techniques presented in percentage form. The results of this study indicate that the use of animated video learning media can improve the understanding of fifth grade students at SDS SWADHIPA Natar Lampung Selatan. This can be proven at the pre-cycle stage before being given action using animated video learning media, students obtain 10% classical completeness with very low or less categories. Then in learning in cycle I there was an increase in the learning outcomes of students who obtained 36% classical completeness in the less category. In cycle II, student learning outcomes increased by obtaining 80% classical completeness in the very good category.
