PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE SNOWBALL THROWING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN MOTIVASI DAN HASIL BELAJAR PPKn SISWA KELAS IV SD NEGERI 1 UJUNG GUNUNG ILIR

This research was motivated by the low motivation and learning outcomes of class IVA students at SD Negeri 1 Ujung Gunung Ilir. One of the learning innovations that can be applied during the learning process to increase student motivation and learning outcomes is the snowball throwing learning model. This study aims to determine the increase in learning motivation and learning outcomes of PPKN after being taught using the snowball throwing learning model. This type of research is class action research which consists of two cycles where each cycle consists of planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. The subjects in this study were 22 students of class IVA SD Negeri 1 Ujung Gunung Ilir. Data collection techniques used teacher activity sheets, student activity sheets, student motivation questionnaire sheets and learning achievement test sheets in both cycle I and cycle II. Mastery learning outcomes in this study reached 80% of the total number of students. The results showed that (1) students' learning motivation after being taught using the snowball throwing learning model in cycle I (71.77%) and increased in cycle II (87.09%). From the two cycles there was an increase obtained by 15.32%. (2) the completeness of student learning outcomes classically by obtaining a percentage in the first cycle, which is 68.18%, increases in the second cycle, which is 86.36%. From the two cycles there was an increase in learning completeness obtained by 18.18%. Based on the results of this study it can be concluded that learning by applying the snowball throwing learning model can increase the motivation and learning outcomes of Civics students in grade IV SD Negeri 1 Ujung Gunung Ilir for the 2022-2023 academic year.
