Abstract

This research is motivated by the unavailability of learning that encouraged and facilitated students to study independently outside of class. Mind mapping-based pocketbooks are important for students to learn independently because they are relatively small in size and accompanied by mind maps. This study aims to develop mind mapping-based pocketbooks, knowing the feasibility, response and effectiveness. This study is a development study with the ADDIE model. Research results showed that the average score of validity and mind mapping based pocketbooks of the three validators was 93% with categories highly feasible. The results of the educator's response assessment received a score of 93%, and 88.65% of the students were in the category of highly viable. The results of product trials proved that the development of the product was effective and corresponds to an average score of 96 out of a maximum score of 100. Of the ten students who participated in the product test, 100% effectiveness was obtained. It means that pocketbooks based on mind mapping of IPA subjects are effective to maximize the learning outcomes of V-class students.
