Abstract

This research was motivated by the low learning outcomes in PPKn content for fourth grade students at SDN Campang Way Handak, This study aims to determine the increase in Civic Education learning outcomes using the Project Based Learning Model. This research is included in Classroom Action Research (CAR), the implementation in this study consists of 4 stages, namely, planning, action, observation, and reflection. Learning was carried out for 2 cycles with 2 meetings each. The subject of this research was class IV of SDN Campang Way Handak with a total of 24 students. Data collection techniques using observation, tests, and documentation. Analysis of the data used includes the presentation of data, and drawing conclusions on indicators of success in this study if student learning outcomes reach (80%). The results showed that there had been an increase in PPKn learning outcomes for my hero material, namely (1) Teacher activity in the first cycle percentage was 70% then increased in the second cycle by 90%, 2) Student activity in the second cycle percentage was 67.5% then increased in cycle II by 90% and 3) Student learning outcomes experienced a very good increase. In the pre-cycle, the percentage of learning completeness was 37.5%, then it increased in cycle I to 54.1% and it increased again in cycle II by obtaining a percentage of learning completeness to 83.3%. From these results it can be concluded that the use of the project based learning learning model can improve the learning outcomes of fourth grade students at SDN Campang Way Handak in the 2022/2023 academic year.
