UPAYA MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA PADA MATERI IPA MENGGUNAKAN MEDIA PAPEGA PADA KELAS V DI SD NEGERI 1 GUNUNG BATIN UDIK

Abstract

The main problem in this research is the achievement of science learning outcomes that have not been maximized due to several things including the rare use of instructional media, students' activeness that has not been seen and difficulties in understanding science material. One alternative learning that is considered capable of dealing with these problems is by providing PAPEGA media. This study aims to determine the increase in science learning outcomes through the use of PAPEGA media in class 5 students at SD Negeri 1 Gunung Batin Udik. This type of research is classroom action research which consists of 4 stages namely planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. This research was carried out in collaboration between researchers, class teachers and student participation. The research subjects were 22 students in class VB. Methods of data collection is done through observation, testing and documentation. Mastery learning outcomes in this study is to achieve a percentage of 80% of the total number of students and the average score of student activity each cycle has increased with the active category. The results showed that 1) student activity increased from an average of 7.38 (quite active) in cycle I to 7.91 (active) in cycle II, where an increase in score was obtained from cycle I to cycle II of 0.53. 2) Student learning outcomes achieve an average score of 65.45 in cycle I and increase to 74.32 in cycle II, where an increase in the average score of learning outcomes is 8.87. Student completeness also increased where in cycle I the percentage was 68.18% and cycle II was 68.18%, where an increase in the percentage of learning completeness from cycle I to cycle II was 18.18%. So it can be concluded that learning using PAPEGA media can improve science learning outcomes for fifth grade students at SD Negeri 1 Gunung Batin Udik.
