Abstract

This research is motivated by the low results of studying history in class XI IPS 1 Gadingrejo 1 Public High School. This study aims to find out and describe the application of the picture and picture learning model to improve history learning outcomes in students of class XI IPS 1 SMA Negeri 1 Gadingrejo and to increase history learning outcomes through the picture and picture learning model in students of class XI IPS 1 SMA Negeri 1 Gadingrejo . The type of research conducted is Classroom Action Research. The subjects of this study were 30 students of class XI IPS 1. The research design used is the Kemmis and Mc model. Taggart which contains the stages of planning, implementing actions and observing, and reflecting. The data collection instruments used were test questions to measure history learning outcomes and observation sheets to measure history learning activities. The type of data analysis used is qualitative and quantitative data analysis. Based on the results of data analysis in this study, the following conclusions can be drawn. The picture and a picture learning model can improve the learning outcomes of students in class X1 IPS 1 at SMA Negeri 1 Gading Rejo in the 2022/2023 academic year. This is evidenced by the increased student activity and completeness of student learning outcomes in the pre-cycle of 6 students with a percentage of 20%. In cycle 1 it increased to 17 students with a percentage of 56.66% and in cycle II students who completed 23 students with a percentage of 95.83%. Increasing student history learning outcomes by applying the picture and a picture learning model from cycle I with an average of 68.33 to cycle II with an average of 78.75. Thus there is an increase of 10%.
