Abstract

Aggressive behavior that appears in adolescents includes all actions taken by individuals that harm people. Thus, this study aims to analyze reducing aggressive behavior through group counseling using aversion conditioning techniques in class VIII students of SMP Negeri 14 Bandar Lampung. This study uses the method of guidance and counseling action research (PTBK) with a sample of 10 students selected by purposive sampling. The results showed that on the action from cycle I to cycle II, group counseling service activities in reducing aggressive behavior of students in class VIII SMP Negeri 14 Bandar Lampung had been carried out well. This is evident from the results of the achievement of the results of cycle II which shows an increase in students' self-confidence ability, namely 80% and these results have reached the target set by the researcher, namely 75%. The results of the questionnaire instrument for students' aggressive behavior with group counseling services show that this research starts from pre-action activities until the research ends, the results are quite satisfying because there is an increase in each cycle, namely in cycle I after the service is provided, the average score obtained by students only decreases by 30%. And after the service was carried out in cycle II, the average score obtained by students decreased to 80% and had reached the expected target.
