Abstract

This research is motivated by existing phenomena related to the problem of learning saturation experienced by students, especially students who are at SMP N 2 Gunung Labuhan. Saturation of learning will have an impact on other student problems, such as learning motivation, truancy, and so on. This study aims to reduce the level of saturation of student learning by using group counseling with positive reinforcement techniques. The method used in this study was guidance counseling action research, with a population of 150 students and 29 samples so that there were 7 students as research subjects. The research instrument used was the learning saturation questionnaire, the research phase was carried out in 2 cycles with 3 meetings each, from the results of the data obtained there was a decrease in learning saturation experienced by the 7 students by using positive reinforcement technique group counseling.
