EFEKTIVITAS LAYANAN KONSELING KELOMPOK DENGAN TEKNIK SOSIODRAMA UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KOMUNIKASI INTERPERSONAL PESERTA DIDIK KELAS VIII SMPN 3 TERUSAN NUNYAI LAMPUNG TENGAH TAHUN

Abstract

Communication has an important role in human life almost every time we need to communicate with other people. To grow and improve interpersonal relationships, it is necessary to improve the quality of communication by improving good relations and cooperation between various parties. This study aims to determine "Are group counseling services using sociodrama techniques effective in improving students' interpersonal communication at SMP Negeri 3 Terusan Nunyai, Central Lampung?" In this research, the method used is quantitative method using Quasi Experimental Design using Non-equivalent Control Group Design. The sample in this study amounted to 16 students, with a total of 8 students in the experimental class and 8 students in the control class. The data collection technique used by the researcher is the interpersonal communication scale, the interpersonal communication scale is given before (pretest) and after (posttest). The data analysis technique used in this study is the Wilcoxon test and the Mann Whitney test the results of the research data in the experimental class obtained an average score / mean pretest of 21 while the average score / mean posttest of 38 was obtained indicating the result of the Asymp.sig (2-tailed) score was 0.012, while in the control class an average score was obtained. the mean pretest 20 and the average score/mean posttest 29 were obtained, indicating the result of the Asymp.sig (2-tailed) value is 0.011 which the probability is below 0.05. While the results of the Mann Whitney test, the significance value is 0.003 < 0.05, then the hypothesis is accepted, which means that group counseling services are effective for improving interpersonal communication for class VIII students at SMPN 3 Terusan Nunyai, Central Lampung.
