UPAYA MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR IPA MENGGUNAKAN MEDIA REALIA DENGAN METODE DISCOVERY LEARNING PADA SISWA KELAS 4 SD NEGERI 7 MESUJI

This study aims to determine the increase in activities and learning outcomes of science using Realia media with the Discovery learning method in fourth grade students of SDN 7 Mesuji. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) with a cycle model that is carried out repeatedly and continuously. The subjects of this study were students of class IVA, totaling 30 students and the object was learning science. Methods of data collection is done through observation, tests and documentation. Data analysis techniques used were qualitative analysis techniques and quantitative analysis techniques. The results showed that 1) Student activity increased from an average of 64.3 (less active) in cycle I to 75.6 (very active) in cycle II, where an increase in score from cycle I to cycle II was 11.3. 2) Student learning outcomes reached an average score of 64.6 in the first cycle and increased to 84.8 in the second cycle, where an average increase in learning outcomes was 20.2. Based on these data, it can be concluded that the average score of student activity and student learning outcomes has increased. So it can be concluded that learning by using Realia media with the Discovery learning method can increase the activities and learning outcomes of fourth grade science students at SDN 7 Mesuji.
