Abstract

This research is motivated by the low student learning outcomes on the content of social studies material. The purpose of this research is to improve students' learning outcomes of social studies material by applying the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) learning model. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles. The research procedure includes planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects in this study were 19 students of class IV B SD Muhammadiyah Kalirejo. Data collection techniques in this study used observation sheets, student learning outcomes tests and documentation. Completeness of learning outcomes in this study is to achieve the acquisition of a percentage of 70%. Based on the results of the research conducted, it showed an increase using the Teams Games Tournament learning model. In the pre-cycle, the learning percentage was 47.36%, the first cycle was 68.42%, and the second cycle was 78.94%. So it can be concluded that the application of the Teams Games Tournament learning model can improve the learning outcomes of grade IV B students at SD Muhammadiyah Kalirejo for the 2022/2023 academic year.
