PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE TALKING STICK UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR IPS SISWA KELAS V SD NEGERI 1 BUMI WARAS BANDAR LAMPUNG

This research is motivated by the lack of maximum learning outcomes for social studies subjects. Types of economic business in Indonesian society in social studies subjects at SD Negeri 1 Bumi Waras. It is necessary to improve learning that is able to improve student learning outcomes. The solution to overcome this problem is through the talking stick type cooperative model. The purpose of this research is to describe the application of talking stick type cooperative learning to improve social studies learning outcomes for fifth grade students of SD Negeri 1 Bumi Waras Bandar Lampung. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) using Kurt Lewin's model which consists of two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, implementation, action, observation and reflection. In collecting data obtained through interviews, observations of teacher and student activities, tests, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that: (1) The application of the talking stick type of cooperative learning model works well because it can increase the activities of teachers and students. In this study, it was found that the increase in social studies learning outcomes with the application of the talking stick type cooperative learning model in the pre-cycle 57.58 (less) to 67.07 (enough) in the first cycle increased to 72.58 in the second cycle. The percentage of mastery learning outcomes in the pre-cycle 16.12% (less) to 45.16% (less) in the first cycle increased to 77.41% (good) in the second cycle.
