Abstract

The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) type cooperative learning model on solving math problems for class X SIJA students at SMK Negeri 9 Bandar Lampung. Analysis of research data using parametric statistics. The research population of class X students of SMK Negeri 9 Bandar Lampung, the sample was taken 2 classes, namely X SIJA 1 as the experimental class and X SIJA 2 as the control class which were taken using cluster random sampling technique. The ability to solve mathematical problems as measured by an essay test with 5 questions. Hypothesis testing using t-test, with t_hit = 5.60. At a significant level of 5%, t_daf=1.67 means t_hit>t_daf which is 5.60>1.67. It was concluded "There is an effect of applying the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) type cooperative learning model on math problem solving for X grade students of SIJA SMK Negeri 9 Bandar Lampung in the academic year 2022/2023". This situation is seen from the average score of the experimental class students which is 77.56, which is greater than the control class which gets an average score of 63.18
