Abstract

The main problem in this study is the low learning outcomes of class XI students at SMA 4 Bandar Lampung and students are less active in learning and the applied learning is not fully student-centered so that students lack motivation in learning. This study aims to determine the effect of the Think Pair Share learning model on the learning outcomes of class XI IPS students at SMA Negeri 4 Bandar Lampung. This research is using experimental method. The population in the study was class XI IPS 1 and XI IPS 2 totaling 68 students, the sample consisted of class XI IPS 1 as the experimental class using the Think Pair Share learning model totaling 34 students and XI IPS 2 as the control class using the conventional learning, amounting to 34 students. Hypothesis testing uses the t-test statistical formula. After testing the hypothesis, it is obtained from calculating the economics learning outcomes data using statistical formulas, then we get t = 4.26 and t_tab = 1.98 at a significance level of 5%. This means that there is an influence of the Think Pair Share learning model on economic learning outcomes in students of class XI IPS even semester at SMA Negeri 4 Bandar Lampung in the 2022/2023 academic year.
