Abstract

The problems in this study are (1) The economic learning outcomes of class X I IPS 4 students are still low, (2) During the learning process, there are still many students who do not pay attention to the teacher in explaining economic material in class, (3) Students are less active in economic learning which requires a good understanding of learning, (4) During the learning process, many students are not very clear with the material presented so that the impact on understanding the material is less than optimal. This study aims to determine the increase in student learning activities by applying the Mind Mapping learning method to students in class XI IPS 4 SMA Negeri 7 Bandar Lampung in the 2022/2023 academic year. This research is a classroom action research (CAR) conducted in two (2) stages with the Mind Mapping learning method in class XI IPS 4 students at SMA Negeri 7 Bandar Lampung with 34 students applying their various learning abilities. The data analysis used to measure the increase in activity and learning outcomes is quantitative and qualitative data analysis. Based on the minimum completeness criteria (KKM) students for economic subjects are said to have achieved mastery learning economics if they reach a value of 76, while qualitative analysis is used to measure students' learning activities with observation sheets. The results showed that the activeness of students from the first cycle to the second cycle increased, from 6.68 with the criteria of being less active in the first cycle to 7.99 with the active criteria in the second cycle. increasing student learning outcomes in the first cycle with the number of students who completed as many as 21 students with a percentage of 61.76% while in the second cycle increased to 29 students who completed with a percentage of 85.29%. Based on this analysis, learning activities using the Mind Mapping learning method in economics subjects can improve the learning outcomes of students in class XI IPS 4 SMA Negeri 7 Bandar Lampung
