Abstract

Education holds significant importance in human life, serving as a goal for everyone in the pursuit of knowledge. This knowledge is expected to educate and become a life provision for the nation's growing youth. The method used in this study is classroom action research (CAR) with a collaborative Take and Give learning model, where the teacher acts as the researcher's partner. Each focuses their attention on aspects of classroom action research according to their expertise, with the teacher as a learning practitioner and the researcher as a critical designer and observer. Based on the research I conducted, student activity, as observed through several aspects, showed an increase from Cycle I to Cycle II because the learning model provided was well-received and easily understood by the students. First, student activity in answering questions increased from an average score of 1.15 in Cycle I to 3.1; second, student activity in asking questions about the taught material increased from an average score of 1.85 in Cycle I to 3.4; third, student activity in completing assignments given by the teacher increased from an average score of 2.95 in Cycle I to 4.15; and fourth, student activity in group assignments given by the teacher increased from an average score of 3.0 in Cycle I to 4.65. This proves that the use of take and give type cooperative learning models can improve the learning outcomes of business communication in class X BDP students of Smk Trisakti Jaya Bandar Lampung in the 2023/2024 academic year.
