Abstract

The problems in this study are related to the SuperItem learning model and students' mathematical problem solving abilities. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the application of the Super Item learning model on the mathematical problem solving abilities of eighth grade students in the odd semester of SMP Negeri 20 Bandar Lampung in the 2022/2023 academic year. This study uses experimental methods, as well as data analysis using parametric statistical formulas. The population in this study were all students of class VII SMP Negeri 20 Bandar Lampung which consisted of 11 classes with a total of 217 students, while the sample was taken 2 classes, namely class VIII A as the experimental class which amounted to 31, and class VIII E as the control class which amounted to 30 The sample was taken using cluster random sampling technique. To determine the student's mathematical problem solving ability, the writer conducted a test in the form of an essay as many as 5 questions which had previously been tested for validity and reliability. 2022/2023 academic year. The conclusion is that the mathematical problem solving ability of students who use the Super Item learning model is higher than students who use conventional learning models.
