Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Mind Mapping learning model on student learning outcomes in economics class XI IPS SMA Negeri 16 Bandar Lampung. The background of the problems in this study are 1) low economic learning outcomes. 2) economic subjects which are considered difficult by students and 3) the use of learning that still uses conventional learning.

The type of research used in this research is experimental research with a quantitative approach. The variables in this study consisted of 2 variables, namely the independent variable of the Mind Mapping learning model and the dependent variable, namely the results of studying economics. Data collection was carried out using an instrument test with data analysis techniques using validity tests and reliability tests. Based on research conducted in class XI IPS SMA Negeri 16 Bandar Lampung, the following analysis data was obtained: 1) the results of studying economics using the Mind Mapping learning model obtained an average of 78.54. 2) the results of studying economics in class without using the Mind Mapping learning model obtained an average value of 66.1. 3) Based on the results of the calculation of the hypothesis testing that has been done, the writer obtains t_hit= 13.77 and the distribution table at the 5% level obtains t_daf= 2.00 so that it is proven that t_hit>t_daf, which means that there is a significant influence between the Mind Mapping learning model on the results studying economics for class XI IPS students at SMA Negeri 16 Bandar Lampung for the 2022/2023 academic year.
