This study discusses the effect of the mind mapping method on the sixth grade science lesson at SDN 1 Sidosari Natar, Lampung Selatan. This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of students in science subjects at SDN 1 Sidosari Natar, Lampung Selatan. This is presumably because the learning process still uses conventional methods, causing students to have difficulty understanding and learning something new, especially in science lessons which have broad material. This is very influential on student learning outcomes. The method applied was deemed inappropriate so that the material to be given could not be conveyed properly. On the consideration of the researchers, they were compelled to examine it with the formulation of the problem: is there an influence of the Mind Mapping method on the learning outcomes of sixth grade science students at SDN 1 Sidosari Natar, Lampung Selatan.
The type of research used in this study is an experiment with a Quasi Experimental method. The population in this study was class VI at SDN 1 Sidosari Natar, Lampung selatan, consisting of 2 classes, the samples in this study were class VI A as the experimental class and class VI B as the control class. This research data collection uses tests and documentation with data processing techniques for validity, reliability, normality, homogeneity, and t-test using SPSS Version 21. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the Mind Mapping method on the science learning outcomes of sixth grade students at SDN 1 Sidosari Natar, Lampung Selatan. The results of the study can be seen from the posttest results of class VI A students with an average value of 87.40 and the learning outcomes of class VI B students with an average value of 45.87. It can be proven that there are differences in student learning outcomes between those using the Mind Mapping method and those who do not use the Mind Mapping method. Based on the results of the "t" test for both groups, i????????????g = 5.217 and = 1.666 with a significant level of 5%, the hypothesis Ha is accepted.
