Abstract

The background of this research is that grade II students of SDN 4 Pardasuka South Lampung face the difficulty of learning mathematics in multiplication material. This study aims to add activity scores and also the mathematics learning outcomes of grade II students at SDN 4 Pardasuka by applying a realistic mathematical approach to multiplication learning materials. The research was carried out at SDN 4 Pardasuka in the 2022/2023 academic year with 28 students as research subjects. The research model leads to the Kemmis and Mc.Taggart model which has 4 components, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Data collection techniques used observation sheets and tests. The results of this study were declared successful if the percentage of student learning completeness reached 75% with KKM 65 and there was an increase in student learning activities. The first cycle of this study showed that student Activity averaged 69.5 and increased in the second cycle with an average of 79.7 active categories. Similarly, students' mathematics learning outcomes in the first cycle showed that only 13 students (46.42%) achieved the KKM and had an average score of 60.35, whereas in the second cycle he was as high as 13. became. Therefore, in the second cycle, the number of students who graduated was 26 students or 92.85% with an average of 79.64. Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that the use of Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) improves the learning activities and learning outcomes of Grade II students in SDN 4 Pardasuka.
