PENERAPAN PROJECT BASED LEARNING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KREATIVITAS BERPIKIR PESERTA DIDIK KELAS VI MATERI IPS USAHA DISEKITARKU DI SD NEGERI SAWANG BALAK TANGGAMUS

Abstract

This study aims to find out the Project Based Learning learning model can overcome students' creative thinking skills on social studies material and to find out the steps for implementing project based learning on social studies material. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The research subjects were students of class VI which consisted of 24 students. There are three data collection techniques used in this study, namely observation, interviews, and documentation. Then the instrument used in this research is a creative thinking scale questionnaire according to its indicators, observation and interview guidelines. The results of increasing students' thinking creativity can be seen from the results of observations using the average grade VI grade students of SD Negeri Sawang Balak Tanggamus which has increased from cycle I to cycle II. Class VI students who have realized the learning process together with the application of project-based learning models as an effort to increase students' creative thinking. Judging from the results of the students' thinking creativity questionnaire in cycle II with an average grade of 76,167, the highest score of 85 and the lowest 68, and 22 students who succeeded out of a total of 24. Then measurements were made on the indicators of the success of research actions, then the action process discontinued and students were declared to be in the very creative category with an average class number of 76,167 out of 24 successful 22 (98%) students who were successful. The results achieved in this study indicate that the project-based learning model can improve students' creative thinking skills. Students can have the ability to think creatively and moderately. It can be said that an effective project-based learning model is used to overcome the low creative thinking ability of class VI students on social studies material.
