Abstract

The problem in this study is the low learning outcomes of students because learning Social Sciences at MIN 1 Tulang Bawang class V still uses conventional methods and the learning process is less varied which makes students less understanding of the material being taught, causing low student learning outcomes in science learning. Social knowledge. The method in this research is classroom action research using two cycles with the Cooperative Learning Model Type Student Team Achievement Division (STAD). The sample in this study were students of class Vb MIN 1 Tulang Bawang for the academic year 2022/2023 with a total of 22 students. Data collection techniques were carried out using tests and observation sheets, a test consisting of 10 essay questions and observation sheets to observe students during the process of research activities. The level of completeness in the indicator with a success indicator score of 70 reaches 75%. Based on the results of the study, it showed that the Cooperative Learning Model of the Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) type can improve learning outcomes in Social Sciences seen from the learning outcomes of pre-cycle students (percentage of completeness 31.81% with an average value of 58.18), in the first cycle. I (achieved a completeness percentage of 77.27% with an average score of 72.5) and cycle II (achieved 86.36% with an average score of 84.45). The data was collected during the implementation of the action at MIN 1 Tulang Bawang.
