Abstract

The background in this study is the low learning outcomes of learners. The learning model that feels appropriate to solve these problems is the Student Team Achieve Division (STAD) type of cooperative learning model. The purpose of this study is to improve social studies learning outcomes using a cooperative model type student team achievement division (STAD) in grade V students of SD Negeri 9 Kedondong.   The type of research used is Classroom Action Research (PTK). The subject of this study was class V which amounted to 16 learners. Data collection techniques in this study are in the form of observation sheets, learning outcome tests, and documentation. The completeness of the learning outcomes in this study was to achieve a percentage gain of 86%. Based on the results of the research conducted, it showed an improvement using the Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) type cooperative model. In the pre-cycle, the percentage of learning completion was 18.75%. Cycle I was 64.06% and cycle II was 87.5%. So it can be concluded that using a cooperative model of the Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) type can improve the social studies learning outcomes of class V students of SD Negeri 9 Kedondong.
