PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN COOPERATIVE INTEGRATED READING AND COMPOSITION UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS DAN HASIL BELAJAR IPA KELAS V SDN 5 JATIMULYO

This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The purpose of this study was to improve critical thinking skills and learning outcomes with the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) learning model for fifth grade students at SDN 5 Jatimulyo. The object of this research is the natural science learning process for class 5 SDN 5 Jatimulyo and the subjects of the research are all students in the class. This research was conducted in two cycles, namely cycle I and cycle II. The instruments used in the study were observation sheets and tests for students. The results showed an increase in critical thinking and student learning outcomes. In the pre-cycle, the result is 36.68%. After being given the first cycle of action, the number of student learning outcomes increased to 57.15% with sufficient category. And in the second cycle the number of student learning outcomes increased to 78.57% with a good category. This increase occurs because learning uses the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition model.
