PENGGUNAAN DAKON MATEMATIKA DALAM MENINGKATKAN MOTIVASI DAN HASIL BELAJAR MATEMATIKA SISWA KELAS IV SD NEGERI 9 KEDONDONG

The background in this study is the lack of student motivation and relatively low student learning outcomes. The purpose of the research conducted is to increase student learning activities, increase student learning motivation, and improve student learning outcomes by using mathematics teaching aids. This research uses the CAR (classroom action research) method for two cycles. The subjects in the study were 15 fourth grade students of SD Negeri 9 Kedondong in the 2022/2023 academic year which were divided into 8 male students and 7 female students. Data were collected using test, observation, questionnaire and documentation techniques. The results showed that learning activities, learning motivation and student learning outcomes at SD Negeri 9 Kedondong had increased. An increase in activity occurred in cycle 1, the activity score was 6.82 then increased in cycle 2 with a score of 7.56. The increase in students’ learning motivation in the pre-cycle questionnaire score reached 3.41, increased in cycle 1 with a score of 3.81 and there was an increase again in cycle 2 with a score of 4.07. While the increase in learning outcomes occurred in the pre-cycle which only got an average score of 37.33 and increased in cycle 1 with a score of 70.76 and then increased again in cycle 2 with a value of 82.2. Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that using Dakon mathematics as a teaching aid can improve learning activities, learning motivation, and student learning outcomes at SD Negeri 9 Kedondong.
