Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve learning activities and thematic learning outcomes, especially the PPkn lessons for students in class V SDN 1 Cugah Baradatu Way Kanan 2022/2023 by using Index Card Match. Participants in this study were as many as 22 students. This research was conducted by applying classroom action research (CAR). There are two cycles where each cycle consists of four steps; planning, action, observation and reflection. This study focuses on increasing student learning activities and student learning outcomes. Based on the results of student learning activities in cycle 1 to cycle 2 showed a significant increase. This can be seen from the average score of student learning activities in cycle 1 of 6.76. Furthermore, the average score of student learning activities in cycle 2 is 7.78. Therefore, the increase in student learning activities from the first meeting in cycle 2 to the second meeting in cycle 2 got 1.02 points. Meanwhile, student learning outcomes of PPkn in the pre-cycle; the first cycle and the second cycle showed that there was an increase. This can be seen from the average value of cycle 1 is 64.54, there are 13 students or 59.09% who passed the target. While the average value of cycle 2 was 76.36, there were 17 students or 77.27% who graduated from KKM. Based on these results, it can be said that Classroom Action Research using Index Card Match can improve learning activities and learning outcomes for fifth grade students at SDN 1 Cugah Baradatu Way Kanan.
