Abstract

This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of students in the PKN lesson content. The purpose of this research is to improve student learning outcomes of PKN by applying the Think Pair Share (TPS) learning model. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles. The research procedure includes planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects in this study were class IV A students of SD Negeri 1 Srengsem as many as 24 students. Data collection techniques used teacher activity sheets, student activity sheets and student learning outcomes test sheets. Completeness of learning outcomes in this study reached 87.5% of the total number of students. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that (1) student activity in the application of the Think Pair Share (TPS) learning model during cycle I and cycle II increased from an average of 7.2 to 8.12. (2) Student learning outcomes in the application of the Think Pair Share (TPS) learning model during the first and second cycles increased from 66.6% to 87.5%. From these results, it can be concluded that learning with the application of the Think Pair Share (TPS) learning model can improve student PKN learning outcomes in fourth grade students of SD Negeri 1 Srengsem in the 2021/2022 academic year.
