Abstract

The problem in this research is the low student learning outcomes. The purpose of this research is the implementation of the cooperative learning model of team games tournament type will be able to improve the social studies learning outcomes of fourth grade students at SDN 2 Sumberejo. This type of research uses Classroom Action Research (CAR). The subjects in this study were students of class IVC SDN 2 Sumberejo, totaling 30 people. Data collection techniques in this study were in the form of observation sheets, learning outcomes tests, and documentation. The research results obtained are (1) student activities in the first cycle using the team games tournament learning model 70.83% to 87.5% in the second cycle and (2) the social studies learning outcomes in the first cycle obtained an average of 66, 83 with a completeness of 63.33% and increased in the second cycle to obtain an average of 75.17 with a completeness of 86.67%. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the application of the team games tournament learning model can improve social studies learning outcomes for fourth grade students at SDN 2 Sumberejo.
