Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve students’ learning outcomes by applying the reciprocal teaching learning model. This type of research is class action research which consists of two cycles. The subjects in this research were 17 students in class VB SDN 2 Pardasuka. Data collection techniques used observation and learning outcomes test. To the results of the study, it can be concluded that (1) the activities of teachers in cycle I and cycle II increased from the percentage of 61.76% to 86.76%. (2) Student activity in cycle I and cycle II increased from 60.29% to 83.82%. And (3) classical student learning outcomes in the first cycle, namely pretest of 47.06% and posttest of 64.71%, increased in cycle II, namely pretest of 64.71% and posttest of 82.35%. From these results it can be concluded that learning by applying the reciprocal teaching learning model can improve civics learning outcomes for fifth grade students of SDN 2 Pardasuka.
