Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of student learning outcomes by using inquiry strategies and to determine the application of inquiry learning strategies in improving student learning outcomes in science subjects for class IV at SDN 01 Bumi Sari. The results showed that the average score of students' learning outcomes increased starting from the pre-cycle stage, cycle I and cycle II. In the pre-cycle stage, the average student learning outcomes reached 45.21, the first cycle was 68.36 and in the second cycle increased to 79.43. The learning mastery of students also increased, at the pre-cycle stage, learning mastery reached 28.58%, the first cycle increased to 64.29%, and in the second cycle it increased again to 85.71%. Based on the explanation above, it can be concluded that learning activities by applying inquiry strategies are able to improve student learning outcomes in science subjects in class IV at SDN 01 Bumi Sari Academic Year 2021/2022.
