Abstract

The problems examined in this study are 1) the low learning outcomes of students, 2) the lack of role and activeness of students in teaching and learning activities, 3) and the implementation of the VAK learning model based in the classroom. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic (VAK) learning strategies on history learning achievement of students in the odd semester of class X SMA Negeri 8 Bandar Lampung in the 2021/2022 academic year. The method used in this research is the experimental method. The population in this study were all students of class X social studies odd semester of SMA Negeri 8 Bandar Lampung for the academic year 2021/2022 as many as 72 students divided into 2 classes, the sample was taken using the Population technique, the instrument in this study used validity and reliability tests. Based on the results of the calculation of hypothesis testing that has been carried out by the author, it is obtained that t_hit = 6.42 from the distribution table with a level of 5% obtained t_daf = 2.00, so it is evident that t_hit≥t_daf thus can be concluded that "there is an effect of Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic learning models (VAK on history learning achievement of students in class X odd semester of SMA Negeri 8 Bandar Lampung in the 2021/2022 academic year."
