PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN BRAIN BASED LEARNING (BBL) TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN KOMUNIKASI MATEMATIS SISWA KELAS VIII SEMESTER GANJIL SMP NEGERI 13PESAWARAN TAHUN PELAJARAN 2021/2022

This study examines problems related to the mathematical communication skills of eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 13 Pesawaran which are still not optimal, this is due to the lack of media's role in learning. Based on these problems, this study aims to analyze the difference in average mathematical communication skills of students who use the Brain Based Learning (BBL) model with those using conventional-based media in class VIII odd semester students of SMP Negeri 13 Pesawaran in the 2021/2022 academic year. This research is an experimental study with a population of all odd semester VIII students of SMP Negeri 13 Pesawaran for the 2021/2022 academic year and a sample of two classes, namely class VIII A, which consists of 22 students as the experimental class and class VIII B, which amounts to 22 students as the control class. The sample was taken using the Total Sampling technique. The measurement of the variables used a test in the form of an essay as many as 6 questions which were first tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was used to test hypotheses using t-test. From the results of testing the hypothesis by using the t test with a value of t_hit = 7.75. From the t distribution table at a significant level of 5%, it is known that t_daf = 1.67 means t_hit> t_daf which is 7.75> 1.67, so it can be concluded that the average mathematical communication ability that applies the Brain Based Learning (BBL) model is higher than that apply the Conventional model in Class VIII Odd Semester SMP Negeri 13 Pesawaran Academic Year 2021/2022.
