PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN LEMBAR KERJA PESERTA DIDIK (LKPD) TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH MATEMATIKA SISWA KELAS VIII SEMESTER GANJIL SMP NEGERI 18 BANDAR LAMPUNG TAHUN PELAJARAN 2021/2022

The research focuses on problems related to the low mathematical reasoning ability of class VIII odd semester students of SMP Negeri 1 Bandar Lampung. Based on this, the study aims to determine the effect of the Metaphorical Thinking learning approach on the mathematical reasoning abilities of eighth grade students in the Odd Semester of SMP Negeri 1 Bandar Lampung in the 2021/2022 academic year. The method used in this research is the experimental method. The population in the study was all eighth grade students in the odd semester of SMP Negeri 1 Bandar Lampung in the 2021/2022 academic year. From the population, two classes were taken as samples, namely class VIII.4 which consisted of 30 students as the control class and VIII.5 which consisted of 30 students as the experimental class. The sampling technique used is Cluster Random Sampling. The measurement of the variables used a test in the form of a description of 5 questions which were first tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis used simple statistical analysis with the ttes formula. Based on the results of hypothesis testing using ttes, it is obtained that thit = 14.97 and from the distribution table at a significant level of 5% with tdaf = t(1-α) = 1.67 so that it is known that ttes > tdaf or can be written as 14.97 > 1.67 . Thus, it can be concluded that "there is an effect of the Metaphorical Thinking approach on the mathematical reasoning abilities of eighth grade students in the Odd Semester of SMP Negeri 1 Bandar Lampung in the 2021/2022 academic year".
