Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of YouTube media on the mathematical problem solving ability of X grade students of SMK Negeri 7 Bandar Lampung in the academic year 2022/2023. The method used in this study is an experimental method with the research population being all students of class X health at SMK Negeri 7 Bandar Lampung in the 2022/2023 academic year. Class X KK1 as the experimental class and class X KK2 as the control class were determined by cluster random sampling. Data was collected by using a test technique in the form of 5 essay questions which have been declared valid and reliable. After the results were tested for normality and homogeneity, the data analysis of the results of hypothesis testing using the t test and obtained thit = 5.76 and the distribution table at a significant level of 5% with tdaf = 1.67, so it can be seen that ttes > tdaf is 5.76 > 1.67. Ha accepted means "the average mathematical problem solving ability of students who use YouTube media is higher than students who use conventional learning". It can be concluded that there is an effect of using YouTube media on the mathematical problem solving ability of the odd semester students of class X SMK Negeri 7 Bandar Lampung for the academic year 2022/2023.
