Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the differences in the average mathematical problem-solving ability of students who use a Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) type cooperative learning model higher than the average mathematical problem-solving ability of students using conventional models in grade VII students of SMP IT Nurul Iman Negerikaton.Research analysis using parametic statistics. The population in this study was grade VII students of SMP IT Nurul Iman Negerikaton which consisted of 3 classes with a total of 98 students, samples were taken 2 classes, namely class VII C as an experiment class, and class VII B as a control class taken using cluster random sampling technology. The ability to solve mathematical problems is measured by using a test in the form of a description consisting of 5 questions that have been tested for validity dal reliability before. Hypothesis testing uses a t-test with results and  so that it . Thus it can be said that there is an influence of the Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) type of cooperative learning model on the mathematical problem solving ability of seventh grade students of SMP IT Nurul Iman Negeri katon.
