PENGEMBANGAN MODUL BERBASIS REALISTIC MATHEMATIC EDUCATION (RME) SEBAGAI BAHAN AJAR MATERI BANGUN RUANG SISI DATAR SISWA KELAS VIII SMP NEGERI 2 SENDANG AGUNG TAHUN PELAJARAN 2020/2021

This study aims to (1) determine the procedure for developing a module based on Realistic Mathematical Education (RME) as a teaching material for flat-sided building materials for class VIII students in the even semester of SMP Negeri 2 Sendang Agung, (2) Knowing the quality of the learning module from the aspect of validity, practicality, and effectiveness of teaching materials. This type of research is development research. The stages in the research are analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Product validation is carried out by 6 expert lecturers in accordance with their fields. Then the module was given a practical questionnaire to be responded to by the mathematics teacher and class VIII students of SMP Negeri 2 Sendang Agung in a trial of the module product. The results of material expert validation on the material aspect, question aspect, language aspect, implementation aspect all obtained a score of 79% with valid criteria. Validation of media experts both in the aspect of module cover design, and module content design all obtained a score of 86% with very valid criteria. The validation of linguists on aspects of sentence structure accuracy, understanding of messages and information all obtained a score of 84% with very valid criteria. After using the module that has been developed, the teacher's response questionnaire is 92% with very practical criteria, 83% student response questionnaire with very positive criteria, and the results of the complete test at the time of the post test reach 85%. Thus, the flat-sided geometry module based on Realistic Mathematical Education (RME) class VIII is effectively used as teaching material.
