Abstract

This research based on problems that are teacher still use uninterested learning media and student’s assumption that mathematics are difficult and boring. This study aims to (1) Determine the development of mathematics e-modules based on an open ended approach to class VIII students; (2) Knowing the students’ responses from the mathematics e-modules based on an open ended approach; (3) Knowing the effectiveness of mathematics e-modules based on an open ended approach to class VIII students. This research conducted in 15 public Junior High School of Bandar Lampung. This Study used the research and development method by applying the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The results of this study are mathematice e-modules based on an open ended approach. This         e-modules was declared valid based on the assessment of material experts with an average score of 3,46 with valid criteria, the assessment of media experts with an average score of 3,60 with valid criteria, and the assessment of media experts with an average score of 3,72 with valid criteria. For the results of field trials, the average is 3,32 with very interestingcriteria. This e-modules can be said to be effective based on the mastery of students by 62,5% which is included in the effective category.
