PENGARUH MODEL GROUP INVESTIGATION TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH MATEMATIKA SISWA KELAS VIII SEMESTER GANJIL UPT SMP NEGERI 14 BANDAR LAMPUNG TAHUN PELAJARAN 2022/2023

The low mathematical problem-solving ability of students is a problem that is studied in the study of class VIII UPT SMP Negeri 14 Bandar Lampung students. Based on this, this research was carried out with the aim of knowing the effect of the Group Investigation model on the mathematical problem-solving abilities of eighth grade students in the odd semester of UPT SMP Negeri 14 Bandar Lampung in the 2022/2023 academic year. The method used in this research is the experimental method. The population in this study were all eighth-grade students in the odd semester of UPT SMP Negeri 14 Bandar Lampung for the academic year 2022/2023, with 2 classes selected using cluster random sampling technique. The class is VIII A as the experimental class and class VIII
B as the control class. The data was collected by using a test technique in the form of an essay as many as 5 questions that have been declared valid and reliable. Hypothesis testing in this study using ttest. Based on the results of hypothesis testing using ttest obtained thit = 4,82. From the t distribution table at a significant level of 5%, it is obtained that tdaf =1,67 means that thit > tdaf is 4,82 > 1,67, it can be concluded that "the average mathematical problem solving ability of students who apply the Group Investigation learning model is higher than the average mathematical problem solving ability of students who apply the Conventional model to the odd semester VIII students of UPT SMP Negeri 14 Bandar Lampung in the academic year 2022/2023”, thus there is an effect of the Group Investigation model on students' mathematical problem solving abilities.
