The problem studied in this study relates to the mathematical problem solving ability of seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 28Bandar Lampung which is still not optimal, for this reason the study aims to determine the average difference in mathematical problem solving abilities using MMP model with those using conventional media. in class VIII SMP Negeri 28 Bandar Lampung. This research is an experimental study with the population being all students of class VIII SMP Negeri 28 Bandar Lampung. The sample is 2 classes, namely VIII B as the experimental class using MMP model and class VIII Das the control class using conventional media. This sample was determined by cluster random sampling technique. Data was collected by using a test technique in the form of an essay consisting of 5 questions that have been declared valid and reliable. The results of hypothesis testing in this study used the t test. Based on the results of hypothesis testing, the value of t = 3,161 is obtained. From the t distribution table at a significant level of 5%, it is known that t = t(1- ) = 1.67. This means that t > t is 3,161 > 1.67, so it can be concluded that "There is an influence of visual-based media on the mathematical problem solving ability of students in class VIII Even Semester SMP Negeri 28 Bandar Lampung in the 2021/2022 academic year".
