PENGARUH MODEL MEANINGFUL INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN KONEKSI MATEMATIKA SISWA KELAS VIII SEMESTER GANJIL UPT SMP NEGERI 7 BANDAR LAMPUNG TAHUNPELAJARAN 2021/2022

The research focuses on problems related to the low mathematical communication skills of class VIII students in the even semester of UPT SMP Negeri 7 Bandar Lampung. Based on this, the study aims to determine the effect of the Meaningful Instructional Design (MID) model on the mathematical connection skills of class VIII Odd Semester students of UPT SMP Negeri 7 Bandar Lampung in the 2021/2022 academic year. The method used in this research is the experimental method. The population in the study was all students of class VIII Odd semester of UPT SMP Negeri 7 Bandar Lampung for the academic year 2021/2022, which were spread over 10 classes with a total of 315 students. From the population, two classes were taken as samples, namely class VIII.4 which collected 32 students as the control class and VIII.2 which collected 32 students as the experimental class. The sampling technique used is Cluster Random Sampling. The measurement variable uses a test of 6 things that are first tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis used simple statistical analysis with the ttes formula. Based on the results of hypothesis testing using t-test, it is obtained that thit 6,10 and from the distribution table at a significant level of 5% with tdaf = t(1-α) = 1.67 so that it is known that ttes > tdaf or it can be written 6,10> 1 ,67. Thus it can be said "there is a difference in the average connection skills of students who apply the Meaningful Instructional Design (MID) model by applying the conventional learning model in class VIII Odd semester of SMP Negeri 7 Bandar Lampung".
